God, the centre of everything, is the most misunderstood thing by religions, madhhabs, prophets, and self-proclaimed angels of God. Due to this misunderstanding, questions like “Is there a God?” and “Who is the real God?” either remain unanswered or mis-answered. God indeed exists, but God is not something that many people think it to be. God is the creator of everything and everyone who exists anywhere.
Many surname-based Brahmins, Maulanas, popes and priests, religious leaders and clerics, atheists, and academically qualified people have misinterpreted God. They didn’t just misinterpret God but also promoted the same misinterpretation to the public, making the masses misinformed about God. They have propagated God as an egoistic, enslaving, and arrogant being who has created the world to please himself and who punishes humans based on materialistic bias. This misinterpretation has made the followers of religions or madhhabs just slaves of their religious identities, but not men of God. This slavery leads them to do most of those things that are strictly against the words and teachings of God. It happens because they don’t understand the real God. Let’s try to understand God by using wisdom and logic.
What and Who is the Real God?
God is not just a visible or invisible person who created nature, things, and beings by using some raw material, like a factory man. God means the supreme power that is the creator, operator, and destroyer of everything that exists anywhere, while being them all himself. God is neither a human nor a human-like creature, but an entity that transcends mere name or form. It’s not that God cannot be a name and/or a form, but it is not limited to any single name or form. It’s not that God can’t have a formless existence, but it is also not that He/she is formless only. It’s not that God exists in an idol only, but it is also not that it cannot exist in an idol.

Who Is the Real GodGod is the power that existed when nothing else existed anywhere. He expanded and evolved himself to make soil, water, fire, and air. Later, he clubbed all these elements to create things and beings, and provided them with a fraction of the invisible self (Energy or Soul) to make them functional. Thus, he entered into all the beings and things as fractions. This doesn’t mean that he is now available only inside living beings, but he is simultaneously available outside, too. He is still carrying every visible and invisible being and thing (including humans) that he created by expanding himself, within himself.
So, God is not limited to being a power that lives somewhere within the universe(s). He is also not limited to being souls that live within beings to keep them functional. He is also not limited to being a dwelling for everyone and the container of everything that’s there, anywhere. He is all of these at the same time, thus God. However, he is not limited to this; he is even more. You’ll learn more aspects of God ahead.
Does God Control Everything?
Many people think that God controls everything, while a few think that everything happens by itself. The truth is that God fully controls many aspects of all things and beings. At the same time, God has set many beings (like humans) free to make independent decisions on many aspects. This freedom is given to beings, like humans, in those aspects, which, even if not chosen rightly, would not stop the flow of God’s creation. Why? Because the flow will now be taken care of by the controlling aspect of God, although the flow of the universe, led by this aspect, doesn’t remain joyful and salvation-oriented for living beings. Here, I emphasize the fact that both of these aspects were referred to as Dharma in ancient India, and they are the invisible, shapeless form of God.
Dharma (Eternal, Internal, and Universal)
In the 21st century, the residents of the Indian subcontinent began using the term “Dharma” to refer to a concept that is known as religion or madhhab in different languages. The word “Dharma” was incorporated in ancient India (then known as Bharat) to define the most prominent form of God, the invisible one. It is all the actions that any particular being or thing should perform, having been provided the capabilities and qualities to perform those actions well. It has two major aspects.
- The characteristic-based activities of the physical parts of his creation.
- Humans’ duty to make righteous decisions and perform righteous activities – Humanity.

Dharma Is the Invisible/Shapeless Form of GodDharma – The Property Aspect
Activities Based on the Original Property or Characteristic of Anything Physical or Material.
God, when expanded himself to create the material world, also expanded himself into millions of different properties. Then, he entered all material beings, things, and their parts as the unique property of each of them. These properties were instilled in every physical and material part so that the order of God’s creation keeps running unhindered. You can understand this aspect of Dharma with the help of the examples below.
- Water has been given the property of quenching the thirst of living beings.
- Oxygen has been given the property of satisfying beings’ breathing needs, keeping them alive.
- Plants have been given the property of absorbing the gas that other biological beings release, to make the environment liveable for humans and other animals. They have been given many other properties, such as releasing oxygen, generating eatables, etc., to fulfil the needs of humans and other vegetarian animals.
- Earth and other planets and objects have been given the property to keep everything attracted towards their centre to remain in existence.
- The Sun has been given the property to release the heat so that the multiple needs of living beings, like the need for light, the need for warmth, the need for evaporation for rain, etc., can be fulfilled.
- The bodies of living beings have been given the properties of producing. They have also been given many other properties, like feelings of hunger, thirst, sex, love, compassion, etc., to keep the order of God’s creation running.
- Many animals and birds have been given the property of consuming the remains of dead humans and animals, so that the polluting remains of those dead bodies can be removed from the environment.
- The bodies have been given the property of decaying so that they can be automatically disposed of, in the absence of a decision maker who should properly dispose of them.
- Similarly, our environment has been given plenty of elements so that living beings can find and use them to fulfil their evolving righteous needs, based on the properties of the respective element.
These are just a few examples. However, God is there with us in the form of plenty of other such things, elements, and their properties. These elements have their respective properties to ensure the fulfillment of the needs of one or the other living being. However, when we use any of these things for our needs, we must keep the welfare of all others (including humans, animals, and plants) in mind. This principle of looking after the welfare of all beings is the second part of Dharma – the righteous duty. It is the most prominent aspect of the Invisible form of God, which must be worshiped by everyone.
Dharma – The Humanity Aspect
Activities That Ensure the Welfare of All Living Beings, Including Animals and Even Those Who Will Be Born in the Future.
This second part of Dharma is the second aspect of the complete invisible form of God. This is what actually should be considered as Humanity. Those beings who have been given the freedom to make decisions independently, such as humans, must worship this form and aspect of God. If this one is ignored, no other way of worship will be accepted by God. You may now have a question: how is this worship performed? It’s very simple. You just need to ensure the following points while doing anything in your life.
- Your actions must not lead to the exploitation of the right to life of any living being.
- Your actions must not snatch any being’s freedom of how to wear, talk, worship, and live.
- Your actions must not be driven by religious or any other man-made identity.
- No matter what, no woman should be raped and/or sexually exploited through your words and your body, not even in your thoughts.
- No man should be sexually harassed and exploited through your words and your body, not even in your thoughts.
- Never torture anyone, unless that is the only option to safeguard the innocent masses.
- Your action must not support those who are not following the aforementioned 6 points.
- Your actions must not be focused on your rights but on your responsibilities towards God’s creation.
- You must keep yourself mentally free by not following or hating any thought, person, book, religion, etc., blindly.
- You must not demean any form or name that’s worshipped as God by people; instead, you should educate them on the eternal character and truth of God. Remember, God is not just a name or form, nor is he just formless; he can be any name or form, but with the eternal character and truth of himself. So, if you teach them about how God acts and how he wants us to act, you’ll establish God in the name or form they worship.
Only these ten statements are not Dharma, but it is much more than this. Yes, these are basic principles that help you to identify dharma (your righteous duty) in your daily life. If you use your brain and conscience independently, using the above-mentioned points in mind and without letting any person, thought, identity, religion, rulebook, etc., enslave your way of thinking, you can well decide on which action of yours would be in line with Dharma (welfare of all living beings) and which would not. Thus, it will be easier to perform Dharma, which is the best and most approachable way of worshiping God.
We shall continue updating more examples and statements to help you make it easy to identify dharma (your righteous duty – Humanity). You may also study the content of the Bhagavad Gita to understand more about Dharma (an aspect of the invisible form of God).
