Smriti Van is a DDA park in the Mayur Vihar Phase 3 area of East Delhi. It is spread over 58.42 acres, offering access to the people of Noida, Mayur Vihar Phase 3, and New Kondli. It has a parking area, a jogging track, a kids’ play area, an open gymnasium, a lake, and concrete seats. The park is a large land parcel and therefore offers enough space to be alone with nature. The Smriti Van is a great place to give yourself a treat with nature if you reside in nearby locations. Its management has also built toilets at several points which are easily accessible from the track.

Smriti Van has several entrances from Mayur Vihar Phase 3, Noida Sector 11, New Kondli, and perhaps from Khoda. I entered from the north gate, in front of the B-block New Kondli. If you bring your vehicle along, enter from this gate to use the dedicated parking area.
Let me take you through my experience when I first visited this place.
Smriti Van – Lake and Garden
As I got into the park, I landed on a concrete path. On the left, there are several trees while there is an artificial lake on the right.

The concrete seats have been placed on both sides where you can sit and feel the breeze.

Smriti Van – Walk in the Woods
There are several woods in the park and the first one is right next to the path I talked about. I walked into it to spend some time in the lap of the woods. Kids were playing traditional games like Gilli Danda and Kabaddi there. I liked watching them play these games as it took me into my old childhood days.

Smriti Van – Watching the Waters
After that, I moved towards the lake and stood there for a while. It was a mesmerizing view and feel. The tweeting of birds blended with the sound of wind flow, leading to a feeling of absolute peace. The waves in the water looked beautiful while the flying of birds above the water’s surface enhanced this beauty.

Smriti Van – Basking the Sun
Moving forward, there is a grassland offering plenty of space to the people who want to bask in the sun. As I visited this place in winter, I witnessed people sitting with their families, recharging themselves with Vitamin D.

Within this grassland, there is also a kids’ play area incorporating swings and slopes, keeping the children busy. Besides, there is a national flag hoisted in the centre of this area that awakens the feeling of patriotism.

Smriti Van – Crossing Over the Lake
I headed forward from there to explore more and found that there is a bridge to cross over the lake.

I used the bridge and went to the other side. What I found there were the woods and grassland similar to what I saw earlier. The only difference in this grassland is that it has an open gymnasium instead of a kids’ play area.

Smriti Van – How did I feel?
Now because I have collected enough information for this article, I decided to feel the nature in a better way. I kept my notepad, pen, and phone in my bag and walked into the woods, listening to the music of leaves.

I stared at the birds, dogs, and dried leaves that were there on the ground. I even sat on the ground and looked at the soil for some time. All this was wonderful. I realized that we can have real bliss with the nature only when we are well involved in it. Keep your phone and everything else aside and then try to feel the nature, it’ll surely rejuvenate you.
Smriti Van – Final Words
Overall, Smriti Van is a beautiful and serene place to give you a break from the hectic city life. Whether you visit this place alone or with your loved ones, it offers a lot in terms of bliss.
